    On my walk home from work tonight, I had a terrific view of the moon rising over the dunes.  It was great to see but sad to know the days of session / seeing after work are now over for a while.

  • Road Trippin’ Michigan to Cape Hatteras

    After a great weekend of friends, family, Fall weather, the cider mill and some football in Michigan, Mel and I made our way back to Cape Hatteras, NC. This time we drove. We split the trip up into two days so we could head a bit further south than usual to check out some more of the mountains. Here are some of views from the car!

    We dominated the Fall issue of Kiteboarding EU with 7 of the 8 photos. It is so good to see everyone’s really hard work paying off. The riders were pushing their limits and my crew was always up to lend a hand to get the shot. Thanks Everyone!!!

    Andre Phillip, Dre, and I also linked up for a couple fun kiteskating sessions. This was one of my favorite shots from this session. The bottom right shot on the other page was during the 2010 Triple-S Invitational. PS that 7 of Dre’s above my shot is unreal!

  • Ban on Drilling Lifted / ESPN Photo

    There has been a lift on the ban of off shore drilling and an Elkus photo was right there to give the news. ESPN used a photo of Jessie Hines going huge along with two others to bring you this news, so read their article: No Steps Forward, Two Steps Back.

    I headed south this morning with Jason and Chris for the Outer Banks Vistors Bureau photo shoot. We meet up with some other friends for fun in the sun. The Sunrise was spectacular on our drive down early this morning.

    The November issue of Kiteboarding Magazine came out and I had a few pictures in there this time around. Brandon Scheid scored a couple, one from the Hood and a full page from Cape Hatteras. Davey Blair was also in represented from the Hood River trip.

  • Kiteboarder AU Sep. Cover

    To my surprise Liquid Force and I scored yet another cover out of the 2011 Liquid Force photo shoot. This one was of Mauricio Abreu on the LF Wallride a feature in the REAL Slider Park in Cape Hatteras, NC. This was one of two spectacular session we had during the shoot. Everyone was on their game and put everything they had into riding during our few session and it showed!
