Upperhand Apparel is a project that was born from a simple design and an excitement to see Michigan excel once again. There is a lot of pride and hope in Michigan today, with a growing tech scene and a big push to rebuild Detroit. It is a great feeling to have back in the air, one that I envisioned years ago listening to stories from my grandpa of downtown back when the city was great.

This all started with a desire to own and wear a good looking Michigan shirt. Most of the shirts I found online lacked clean style, were not tasteful nor were they functional while being active. The designs morphed quickly into a collection of 20+ Michigan icons and other designs, and I wanted a shirt with each one. Thus, it became a mission and Upperhand Apparel was created.
