Today was the day!!! We scored it! We started by headed to a spot near Lobitos. The guys pumped up and headed out. The waves were way overhead and barreling. Everyone was just killing it. After scoring a terrific session we packed up the trucks and headed north a little bit to hit up another kite spot.
It was terrific there too, with some massive waves and good wind. We spend another couple hours there shooting. On the way home we stopped at Panic to watch the surfers do their thing. It was the most heavy surf session I’ve ever seen.
The waves were at least double overhead barreling left. If that wasn’t enough there was a massive boulder in the middle of the wave about half way through the ride at low tide. There was one set that came in where everyone broke boards and the last guy on the wave was too low on the wave near the boulder and had to jump over the rock. It was ridiculous, pretty amazing no one died yesterday…
