Jason Slezak, Laura Lulu Vroman, Sam Bell and Matt Nuzzo headed out for a kiteboarding session. It was warm SW winds so no booties, gloves or hoods needed! We took out the rooftop rail for a couple hits. After the guys/gal were done ridding, I took Jason’s Kite for a few minutes as he pulled in the slider.

Sunday Skate at LGB
It was the second Sunday skate in a row. A couple of the Nags Head guys came down for a great evening session at the LGB Skate Bowl. The guys were killing it like usual with some new lines and big airs. We skated well into the dark after a great sunset. Check out some of the action:

A Foggy Pier Morning
It was suppose to be a breezy day with SW Winds and warm in the mid 60s. I woke up to a dense fog. I grabbed my camera ran out of the house and headed to the pier. The images let your eye wander off as the pier dissipates in the fog. It always seems so mystical when there is thick fog.

Beautiful No Wind Day
It is always a beautiful day on the outer banks when there is now wind and the waters are glassy. The ripple-less Sound turns into a giant endless mirror and during sunsets accentuates the sky even more.

Sunday Skate Session
Sunday was a perfect winter day to get your skate on. Lulu Vroman and I headed over to the Laughing Gull Bowl for a skate. We arrived to find Jessie Davis and friends already shredding the bowl.

REAL Surfer Magazine Ad
REAL has a plethora of surfboards in stock. This ad showcases some of the best selling or unique boards in their line up. After throwing out the first concept, I tried to push again for a clean simple yet bold layout. Each of the boards were photographed and cutout in Photoshop then applied to the overall composition. It was a tedious undertaking under a very tight deadline. The ad is Surfer Magazine looked stellar in the magazine (especially compared to the other ads!) and people have already started mentioning it when purchasing their new surfboard from REAL Watersports.

Shoot at CB Fire Dept
I headed to the Chicamacomico Banks Fire Department in Rodanthe, NC with Chris Stephany. They were scheduled to do some training and I asked to tag along. It was quite an experience watching the crews man handle the over turned vehicles with powerful machinery. There was metal bending, glass flying and even frames getting ripped in two.
