Weekend Session Update
Charlie, Nick and Gretta (Team Naish) rolled into town. They picked a great weekend as there were plenty of sessions to be had. Saturday there was a Standup Paddleboard Race, then a lightwind kite in the sound, followed by a surf session as the winds clocked around to NE, I finished off the day with a dusk ocean session with Chris.
Sunday was NE again. We started the day off with a downwinder with some 30 other kiters. The waves were very fun and hackable. Then most of the crew headed down to Kite Point for a pool party. The wind was light but the sunset was amazing. We hungout there until the end of the day!

SBC Kiteboard Fall 2009
SBC Kiteboard released their Fall 2009 Issue. It has a full spread and story I wrote about the Triple-S, a 6 page feature of my SLC Trip to the Utah Backcountry written by Jason Slezak and a shot of Sam Bell’s quiver.

Hatteras Kiwanis Bike Race
This morning we headed down to Buxton, where the Cape Hatteras Kiwanis Club was holding their Bike the Light, Race. Mel was on the event committee. Despite the poor weather they still had a great turn out. Everyone had a really good time on the bike ride from the school to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and back.
All the participants were suppose to decorate their bikes (and themselves) and won prizes based on their designs. It was a great event. We headed home to relax and then finished off the day with a surf with Stuckey and a terrific dinner.

ERGO ESA Party at REAL
Yesterday was an incredibly busy day. I started off with a sunrise session with Zack. The waves were a little soft, but some fun ones still coming through. Then it was to work to get ready for the ERGO ESA Party.
At lunch, I headed back out to the ocean to shoot some of the ERGO crew who were out scoring their last session of the trip. The waves were very small, but it was a great day with clear glassy waves.
The Egro Party was a huge success. There were TONS of people at REAL for the party. The band, My Friend Ben, rocked the party all night. Steve and the Mojo Sunset Café grilled up dinner for everyone.
The ERGO guys did a massive product toss which made everyone stoked. Over all it was a great day and night! REAL, ERGO, JWCF and Outer Beaches know how to throw a party!

Night Surf Shoot, The Revenge
I meet up with Matt and the crew for a lunch session. It was very small but clean and clear. I headed out again with the Ergo Crew out for a sunset surf session.
It was a pretty killer sunset. I caught a couple waves then headed in to grab my camera. Colin Devine again helped me out with the flash. There were some fun waves coming through and the guys were ripping. We played around with all kinds of setups with the flash and camera. I think we got a couple cool ones, and better yet we made it in with all the gear intact!

Night Surf Shoot Gone Bad
Last night I headed out with some of the Ergo crew to try out a little night surf action. It was all-good till we got to the beach and found some very heavy waves at incredibly short intervals crashing in waist high water. We headed out and things were going well, until I looked over at the strobe, and it was going off like a madman. First thought, unfortunately turned out to be correct, WATER! Sh*t. We made it back to the beach and took all the batteries out and then started to dry everything out and tried to minimize the loss. Kind of a bummer of a session but here are a couple from the session:
