  • Scheid Cover on Kitesurf Mag.

Brandon Scheid and I scored a cover on Kitesurf Magazine. This shot was pretty intensive to setup. Brian Smith and the crew built the feature. It took us nearly 3 trips via jet ski out to a secret spot and over an hour of setup time to shoot this cover.

  • Surfing with Matt and Cody

I headed out in front of the house after lunch today to find Cody Craig and Matt Lane out surfing. The waves were a bit smaller than the past few days, but they still had some fun ones.

  • Fun OBX Summer Surf

We have had a couple days of fun shoulder high surf here in the OBX. It has still been very hot and humid as we are all looking forward to some northernly winds later this week.

  • Family Beach Portraits

Here are a couple family photos taken at the Rodanthe Pier last week.

  • Sea Oats in the OBX

Amidst the mid-day humidity and heat the mornings have been beautiful in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Here are a couple shot from a surf check the other morning.

  • The Cote Family Kiteboarding Shoot

I had a great time today with the Cote family. We headed out into the Pamlico Sound in Cape Hatteras, NC after lunch and their warm up 8 mile Planet of the Apes downwinder. Everyone rigged up, the entire family. It was so cool to see them out ripping and having so much fun together! Here are a few of my favorite shots of the afternoon…

  • Stormy Summer Days

Today, there was a great showcase of a thundurstorm over the Pamlico Sound. It seemed like everyone came to watch this storm cell move across the sound. The storm moved closer and closer until the rain started downpouring pouring and the show was over.

  • Sunset Kiteboarding Session

The wind blew light West all day, which made for some very fun waves all morning. Nearing sunset, the wind clocked a little more South and picked up in speed. Some of the crew was on it and headed out for an amazing sunset session.

  • Slick Sessions, SW is Back

It has been hot and humid on the East Coast since being back from Hood River. However, has been non-stop windy for the past week, and this week’s forcast looks just as good! I headed out to The Slick with some of the crew for a fun quick shoot and then a session.
