his photograph of Kiteboarder Brandon Scheid appeared in The Kiteboarder Magazine. Brandon is nose pressing the Liquid Force Wall Ride during the 2011 LF product shoot. This is a very difficult technical trick, which requires the rider to jump off the water onto the wall and instead of displacing their weight equally, they have to lean forward and place the majority of the weight on the front foot.

Kiteworld #49
I was very excited to see this shot of Pro Kiteboarder Brandon Scheid run in the #39 Issue of Kiteworld Magazine. After having a ton of heavy action shot run, it is a nice change of pace to get a more simple image run. This is more of the fun part of kiteboarding for me. I love all the big technical tricks but riding in the slicks and screwing around is what its all about when i’m out riding. -

Kiteboarding Magazine March 2011
The March 2011 issue of Kiteboarding Magazine offered up an interesting mix of images, though I was pleased to see a few of mine sneak in there.
Lulu “Laura Vroman” was featured in the REAL Watersports ad. The image is of her destroying the JWCF Slider during a night session with the Liquid Force Kiteboarding Crew. Congrats Lulu, Keep ripping!
Professional Kiteboarder Brandon Scheid scored a few shots in this issue. The first one is a photo taken in the late summer of 2010, during a classic slider session on the REAL Dock Slider in Cape Hatteras, NC. As it turns out, this is one of our favorite features to session because it is always set up and ready for a session. This makes it easy to get the crew together for an impromptu slider session when the sunset goes insane.
This was one of my other shots of Dre, Andre Phillip, Kiteskating from the 2010 summer. This land gap shot was my favorite. I really liked the color of the sky after the sun went down and the matching lighting really makes for a cool feel. Dre and Davey were out in super windy conditions trying to make this happen!
With his powerful and huge tricks, Eric Rienstra has been a dominant force over the past summer in the Cape Hatteras Kiteboarding scene. In this picture, Eric goes for a huge grab behind The Slick on a Northern wind day late in the summer of 2010.
The TOC page belongs to Brandon Scheid. This was a really fun session during mid summer right before the trip to Peru. Brandon and Eric were out in the slick on a nuking SW evening. It was blowing over 30 knots and those guys were out going HUGE. In this shot, Brandon does a nuclear grab kiteboarding in The Slick in Cape Hatteras, NC.
In record time, we designed this ad for the 2011 Triple-S Invitational. It features the 2010 Triple-S overall winner Brandon Scheid gap 3ing the JWCF Slider. This was the one session I was really bummed I missed riding in. I’ve waited 2 years to session this slider with the gap out, but to no avail. I look forward to seeing all the competitors back for another week of madness!

I have been really excited with the new route that Liquid Force has gone this year with their marketing campaign. In this ad, Mauricio Abreu is doing his thing.

REAL ESM Ad with Mulcoy
We went for a very simple layout for this REAL ad. It was based off the REAL’s Kiteboarding Ad for Kiteboarding Magazine, but we wanted to promote kiteboarding and kitesurfing to the average surfer. The Surfer/Kiter featured in this ad is REAL/Fox surf team rider Josh Mulcoy.

Cover of Stance DVD #42
Chris Burke and I scored (again check out Burke’s SBC Kiteboarding Cover) the cover of Stance DVD #42. I have not received my copy yet so i am not sure what is on it but i look forward to taking a look! Chris worked hard and pretty late into the night sessioning the REAL Dock Slider to help me dial in this shot.

Ad in Kiteboarding Mag
I’m excited about how well the REAL Josh Mulcoy Ad turned out the last issue of Kiteboarding Magazine. Trip and the guys helped to put together this one. The idea was to show Josh doing the same turn Kiteboarding and Surfing, and to show people what can be done behind a kite now.
