I scored my third cover from the 2011 Liquid Force Shoot with this shot of Chris Burke on the JWCF Slider on the cover of SBCKiteboard Magazine. I was very excited with how well the guys were riding and it allowed me to try new thing while out shooting. I like that the lighting is completely different from the other covers and I must say this shot was a tough one to pull off. I also wanted to thank Nate Appel and Michael Juhl for being my flash guys that night!

Kitesurf Magazine Cover
Kitesurf Magazine in the UK released their 2010 July/August issue recently. This time international man of mystery James Boulding took home the cover with a great hit on the new LF Wallride in Cape Hatteras, NC during the 2010 Liquid Force Photo Shoot.
I was really excited to hear that James made the 2010 Triple-S Invitational and even more excited he would be coming a few weeks before to shoot with the LF Crew. I had seen a few of James’ videos online and knew his style would fit in with the rest of the crew. He showed up and worked hard every day we were out shooting or building, so it was great to see all his hard work pay off with a cover shot! Congrats James!!!

Kiteboarding Magazine Cover
This shot was taken during the 2010 Liquid Force Photoshoot. Brandon has been absolutely killing it the last 6-8 months. He really has stepped up his game this year, so this cover is much deserved.
The rail was setup up over land, it was pitch black and wind was nuking. It was much too dark for auto focus. This was one of the last images taken before I had to call it because even I couldn’t see anymore and it was getting to dangerous for everyone. Congrats B!

2010 Late Winter Coverage
The first few months in 2010 have been quite busy to say the least. Here is some of the coverage from the last month or so.
SBC Kiteboard released Issue #34. I scored an opening spread from the Nor’easter that hit Cape Hatteras in November 2009. Lulu and I got together to get her a double page spread in the Tools of the Trade section.
Last there was a little shout out for the 2010 Triple-S Invitational, the best kiteboarding contest in the world. This shot was one of my favorites as it was a very spur of the moment shot in the airport on the way down to the REAL BVI Trip. The Kiteboarder Magazing Volume 7 Issue 2 also released. They published two shots from the REAL BVI Trip. One was a fun group shot on the bow of one of the Moorings yachts, and the other was a scenic shot of one of the beaches in the British Virgin Islands.
Overnight Prints posted up a blogpost about some of the designers and artist that use them for their projects. I made it in the list, “Brillian Art & Design”!
Kiteboarding.eu ran a profile on Petter Johnson in their first issue of the year. I meet up with Petter for a snowkite trip to Utah last year. Since then he has been blowing up, with an amazing performance and wildcard entry at the 2009 Triple-S Invitational and tons of coverage. A great rider and really nice and down to earth kid.
They also ran a couple shots of Brandon Scheid, REAL and Liquid Force Team Rider, in their second issue.
Kiteworld Issue #43 also made its way to mail boxes across the world. A couple shots of Davey Blair showed up in the mix.

Kiteboarding Mag 3.2010
Kiteboarding Magazine came out this week. I was lucky enough to score a bit of coverage in this issue. First off we have Jason Slezak in a double page barrel sequence from Cape Hatteras, NC.
Sams Bell’s floater from REAL Peru made it as a page and a half spread. Brandon Scheid got a full page shot, while Ryan Evans held it down with some teaching tips. A shot from the November storm also snuck its way into the mix.
The two ads I made for REAL ran as well. The first was a mock up of a cover for the REAL Ad. The other was the first ad for the 2010 Triple-S Invitational announcing the invited riders.
