With a strong North front heading i from Wisconsin and Canada, chatter started early in the week about the possibility of some fun sessions on Lake Michigan. The buoy read 23ft and the winds were 40-50 knots when Rob and I arrive at South Haven to find a handful of surfers and a couple kiters out on 4-5m kites. We hung around for a while and decided to head north to see find a less wind location. We made it to Grand Haven. The winds were less but the waves were also much smaller. We headed out and rode until the sunset next to the lighthouse!

A Tawas, MI Adventure
Mel and I had a great adventure up to Tawas Michigan. I learned to kiteboard there quite a long time ago with Great Lakes Kiteboarding. It was great to get back up there and kite out in the ponds with Mel.
We had a great time staying with Sue and Mark at their amazing house on the bay. The amazing labor day bbq dinner was probably the highlight of the trip along with plenty of laughs to go along with the food and drinks. -
