Labor Day Weekend in Tawas
We headed up to Tawas, Michigan for the Labor Day weekend. It’s been 2 years since our last trip to Tawas so we were excited to be back. The weekend was full of exploring, friends and food. Mel and I got in a couple of fun kite sessions too.

New DaKine Photo Pack
The new DaKine Reload (30L) Photo Pack made its way into my quiver recently. It is pretty different from my old photo pack from Dakine. The bag looks amazing with the normal DaKine build quality. I’m most excited about how high it sits on your back as compared to before. This should make hiking around with all that gear a lot easier. The hardest thing to get use to is the zipper to access the main compartment is completely opposite the old pack, which has taken some getting use to.

Kyle & Michelle’s Wedding
Kyle and Michelle got married this weekend. They had their event at the Henry Ford Museum. It was an absolutely beautiful room, surrounded by good friends.

Time in Northern Michigan
Mel and I ventured to Northern Michigan. The weather couldn’t have been any more perfect. The water was warm and the sun was out. We had a great time with friends and family. The Walsh wedding was a spectacular time and we have photos to prove it…

A Slick Session
After the Triple-S Invitational concluded the media team hit The Slick for a kiteboarding session. It all went well until Nate crashed a little too hard and we had to call it a day. Luckily he snagged a couple good shots during the time we had.
