  • Liquid Force ’12 Shoot Day 6 & 7

It’s still been super windy with intermittent clouds.  It was James’ birthday so after shooting, the Angulo’s crew made us a giant mix of punch in a bowl to celebrate.  We had a bunch of good times hanging with the team.

  • Liquid Force ’12 Shoot Day 4

We headed out early in hopes of riding a secret spot, after arriving it wasn’t going to work. So we gathered the crew we headed to this great offshore flat-water spot.   It was dead off shore with the next stop being South Africa.  The guys did great., we got some great shots until the sun rose to full noon.  The next stop was lunch and then an expedition to Kite Beach for the evening session.  I shot in the water tonight, which was a great change of pace.

  • Liquid Force ’12 Shoot Day 3

Day 3 started with an adventure North in search of waves and wind.  We wound up finding a couple really fun looking breaks, but the wind didn’t come through.  We took a look around and then headed back to town.  After gathering the rest of the crew we wondered over to Kite Beach to try and bag some shots.  The wind picked up enough for the guys to get on the water and we shot until sunset!

  • Liquid Force ’12 Shoot Day 2

Day two started with a great breakfast followed by some meetings, then it was off to the beach.  We packed up and headed to a near by beach to shoot video of the new gear.  The wind never really picked up for the guys to do their thing, so Slezy, Moe, Brandon and I headed to were we surfed yesterday.  I played and shot in the beach break as a perfect sunset glowed in the background.

  • Liquid Force ’12 Shoot Day 1

After over 34 hours of travel, we arrived in Cabo Verde.  Better yet, all the gear arrived too.  The next morning we walked down the street to have breakfast at a local resturant by the town square.  We spent the rest of the morning spot checking potential riding locations.  This is a very beautiful place with great colors, very blue water and amazing contrast.  Wind turned up for a little while and the crew found a little wave that we kited and then surfed as the wind dropped.  I had a couple really fun waves before we packed it in and headed back to home base.  We headed to  Angulo’s place for a sunset drink and surf.

  • Jackson Hole Day 1

In the biting cold we packed the trucks and headed to the airport. Salt Lake City is expecting over a foot of snow the following day, which will make the 5.5 hour drive to Jackson Hole, WY pretty time critical.

This trip started well as we arrived to the airport with a near red carpet experience.  Somehow, Jason and I qualified for the “get out of jail cause your hot card” option., from the nice ladies at the check in counter.  Jason had two over weight roller bags and I had a roller bag, regular bag and a 70lbs pelican case.

Two planes, hundreds of pages and a movie or two down and we arrived in Salt Lake City with all our gear ready to hit the road to Jackson Hole.  We had tentative plans to grab Tekko’s RV for our adventure.  We got all the details from him except the actual location of where to pick it up.  Hmmmm… So we rented a car and headed south the only direction Jason got,  we randomly pulled off the highway about to grab food when we got Tekko’s text with the address.  I quickly plugged it into the GPS and over 2:03 away really!?!?….  Wow this day just got longer, that’s when we looked at the distance that read 1.5 miles, YES!  That whole time zone thing will get you. Crisis  #1 averted.  We arrived to the house where the RV was gated in and with a watchdog.  I was just waiting for everything to come crashing down, but the RV started with no problem and we were off on our 5 hour drive North East to Jaskson Hole…

… after a few hundred miles, snow rabbits, deer, an owl and a moose we arrived in Jackson Hole.  Fletch and Jason came to pick us up as the RV wasn’t going to made it down the narrowly plowed back road with 10-15 foot snow piles on either side.  Exhausted after a full days travel the beer was a simple yet rewarding prize.  We stayed up and chatted for a few hours by the fireplace before crashing out.

  • Road Trippin’ Michigan to Cape Hatteras

After a great weekend of friends, family, Fall weather, the cider mill and some football in Michigan, Mel and I made our way back to Cape Hatteras, NC. This time we drove. We split the trip up into two days so we could head a bit further south than usual to check out some more of the mountains. Here are some of views from the car!

  • PERU 2010 Day 15

    BRYANELKUS_184084

We busted it today to the kitespot early with hopes of scoring wind early. The wind came and the boys headed out to ride. The water was less churned up and much more blue. Everyone scored some great shots and we had a great day until it was time for me to take a session and the wind died out. Never the less we had another great day of sessions. That night we meet up with Palo and Ingio for a night out. We went to Loki (a local hostile) which was a trip! The place was crazy to say the least. It was a great day!
