Some of the Crew headed down to the Frisco Bath House for a surf this afternoon. It was big to say the least. I saw Dave Lewis catch the biggest waves i have seen here since ive been in Hatteras. It was a very fun session. The waves were + head high with some monsters coming through. It is November 1st and all i wore out for my 2.5 hour surf session was boardshorts and a rash guard. I snapped just a couple before going back to work.

Lighthouse Surf
I took a split with Tommie today. It has been cold for the last two days and blowing 30 knots so we decided it was time for a surf on such a nice sunny day. I also recently got invited on a trip to shoot, so its time to start dialing in the water shooting before it really gets too cold. We showed up at the lighthouse with the bright blue sky and warm sun beating down and the waves not looking great. The waves were bumpy, steep and very unpredictable. We decided to paddle out. I was able to snap a couple shots of Tommie and Zack who came out for his lunch to surf.

Weekend Wrap Up
It was another fun weekend to be had. The winds were back and so were the sessions.
Saturday: Woke up early to catch the sunrise at the lighthouse. The crew headed to the Cove for our session. The inside pond was huge due to the very high tide. We rode the waves and flat water all morning and into the afternoon. I road for a bit too long and was pretty sore by mid day. Then Nick and I checked out the crazy Halloween party at the sand bar. It was quite the party (I should have had a camera for that one).
Sunday: Woke up and checked the waves/ wind. It was cranking so I went out. Everyone was a bit slow to get going so I did a solo downwinder from KP to the light house very powered on my 9m and twin tip. After riding at the lighthouse for a while I headed to Kite Point for some flat-water action. It was very gusty but we all had a good time nonetheless. After that I called it a day and headed home.

Rainy Hatteras
The last few days have well been not very nice. Hatteras is currently paying for the endless days of perfect weather we had all summer with lots of rain. Unfortunately, I have not been able to snap and decent shots in the last few days. I took a session today at Kite Point in the very unstable wind. I was able to take one shot in between the down pours.

Frisco Sunrise Session
It was a crazy morning. I woke up very early to head down the Frisco Prier. I wanted to take some sunrise shots. When I got there it was super early so I thought there might be enough light from the peir and there was I snapped these this morning. After that I took a fun solo sunrise kite session on my 13 and surfboard in the shoulder high waves. It really picked up once the sun rose and I got torn up in the beach break a bit. But it was a much needed fun session. After that it was to the warehouse to unload a semi of new boards.

Light Kite Point Session
The crew rushed out of work at 6:00 to take full advantage of the whole 16 minutes of sunlight we had left. Some of the crew headed to surf at the lighthouse where they scored some decent waist to should high waves. Myself, JD, Dave and Nuzzi headed to Kite Point where John Bryja had some kites set up for their testing for the SBC Kiteboarding Magazine. He also told me what I already found out yesterday but thought Iād share that they have completely redone their website. Check it out at sbckiteboard.com. I briefly got to ride the Liquid force HiFi and the Freak Dog Kite. Both seemed to fly well though I was pretty underpowered. Here are a couple shots from the night.

Lighthouse Sunrise
It was another early morning. I headed out to the Lighthouse this morning to hopefully catch another great sunrise. It looked pretty weak from the house but I decided to head over anyways. We were also suppose to score a session today but it had looked by the sensors that the wind had dropped out. I waited around on the beach and it took for the sun to get up about 15 degrees for it to really look great. After that the wind picked up and I rode my 17m Fuel and my 6ā3 surfboard very powered for a good hour. It was a great way to start off the day.
