Happy Holidays part 2. We headed down to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse today. I grabbed a quick surf (mostly a paddle). We took a few pictures after at sunset.

Winter Dawn Patrol Session
I have been determined to go out for a surf with my new 6’0 Stretch Pug! I woke up for the dawn patrol session. The tide was too high for such a cold session so i held off. Maybe tomorrow?!

Lunar Eclipse in the OBX
Last night was the Lunar Eclipse. I set up the camera to do a time lapse of the sky. It turned out great until the moon regained its full brightness and threw everything out of whack. It was a perfect night in Cape Hatteras to watch the night sky.

Icy Cape Hatteras Sunset
The Pamlico Sound started to freeze with the subzero temperatures and the 30 knots of North West winds. But it sure did make fore some cool and different OBX photos we don’t get to see every day down here.

Snowy Sunset in the OBX
It was freezing yesterday. The waves were on and so was the wind, not to mention the snow that fell for a few minutes. With the 30 knots of wind, it just seemed a bit to cold to go jump in the ocean but that didn’t stop one kiter who was out back of REAL doing his thing!
