Mid May Update

Things lately have been insane!!! But in a good way. I have been very busy working a big project with my good buddy Nate Appel of cineaptic.com (more on that coming soon, but we are busy shooting!). On top of that we are also very busy getting everything ready for the 2010 Triple-S Invitational. Sunday Surf and Slider Session

Sunday was a relaxing day. I did some work in the morning and even cleaned my truck. That afternoon I headed out for a surf and then the crew met up for a wakeboard session on the JWCF Slider.

BEST Kiteboarding Demo at Kite Point

Saturday Best Kiteboarding hosted a demo at Kite Point in Avon, NC. I cruised down there to help out, take pictures and test all the gear. It was insanely windy and perfect for small kites. I liked the bularoo the best out of all their kites, but of everything I had a great time on their little surfboard. It was like a little skateboard in the chop.

Sunset Shoot at REAL

Ryan Evans needed a quiver shot. Tonight was the perfect night, with a great sunset and little wind. We met up and decided to try something new. I have wanted to try a composite shot with strobes for a while now. We went simple and only tried for a merge of two shots, and I think it worked well.

This morning I woke up to a very thick fog. Driving slowly down hwy 12 I searched for some cool spots to shoot.

Great Cape Hatteras, NC Sunset

After work Chris and I went for a surf. It was very cold water and very small waves. The clouds rolled in thick as we were leaving. As we were cooking dinner, to my surprise, the sun popped back out. I raced to the sound to snap some shots as the sky was still cloudy, but the sun broke through on the horizon.

Elkus Photo as a Wall Hanging

A fellow photog of mine, Haakon Stillingen, wanted to do some decorating and needed an image. I let him use a shot of a surfer heading out for a session in the Atlantic Ocean. He made a quick video of them installing the piece on his wall.
