The New issue of The Standup Journal came out. In this one is a shot of mine taken in Cape Hatteras, NC near the Rodanthe Pier. The portrait shot of Brandon Scheid and Trevor Murchie was taken shortly after a fun session as a storm was rolling in. Here is the caption:
“North Carolina late summer days overbaked by the time the clock reads 5:59 p.m. A group of buds raced out of work, found an empty break and were in the water and –refreshingly cool with waist-to-chest-high sets starting to show from then still far off “tropical depression Ike.” The amazingly textured sky was lit beautifully by the falling sun. It was too much for me to take, so I surfed my last wave into shore, bolted across the beach to my truck and swapped out a board for a camera. My friends Brandon Scheid and Trevor Murchie, Real Watersports instructors and riders, were so beat that it was easy to assemble them without a fuss for this portrait.” -Bryan
